The
elected mayor of Betim, Vittorio Medioli (Humanist
Party of Solidarity - PHS),
took office this Sunday (1st), at the Poliesportivo Divino Braga
Gymnasium. The Vice Mayor , Dr. Vinicius (SD), and 23 councilors
elected for the 2017-2020 legislature, were also sworn in.
Medioli
was elected by 61.64% of the vote, defeating PMDB candidate Ivair
Nogueira, who reached 15.44%.
Vittorio
Medioli, 65, is married and has two daughters. He was born in Parma,
Italy.
The
new mayor of Betim is an entrepreneur, founder and president of Grupo
Sada. With more than 30 companies, it operates in the areas of
freight transportation, logistics, steelmaking, auto parts
manufacturing, vehicle sales, real estate, agriculture (silviculture
and reforestation) and ethanol and sugar production. Medioli is also
the owner of Semper Editora, which produces the newspapers O Tempo,
Super and Pampulha.
According
to the G1 survey, Medioli is the richest elected mayor of Brazil,
among the cities with more than 200 thousand voters.
The
diplomacy of the mayor, the deputy and the 23 councilors was held on
December 15, 2016, in the city's city hall.
The
composition of the House begins this term (2017-2021) with 65%
renewal. The count has 15 new parliamentarians and 8 re-elected.

Party - PT), Léo Contador (Democrats - DEM), Bianca do Marcão (Free
Homeland Party-PPL), Elias Gaspar de Araújo (Popular Socialist
Party- PSS), Layon Silva (Humanist Party of Solidarity - PHS),
Lindoar (Humanist Party of Solidarity - PHS), Ciene (Humanist Party
of Solidarity - PHS), Eliseu Xavier Dias (Brazilian
Labor Party -
PTB),
Elza São Caetano (PP), Gilson Justino Baeta (PDT), Gilson Sousa de
Carvalho (PPS), Roberto da Quadra (PHS), and Tiago (PPS), as well as

the councilors' inauguration, the House Board of Directors was
elected and the councilor Léo Contador (DEM) was elected president.

Betim is
a city in Minas
Gerais, Brazil.
It is located at around 19°58′4″S 44°11′52″W.
The city belongs to the mesoregion Metropolitan of Belo Horizonte
and to the microregion of Belo Horizonte. It is the fifth largest
city in Minas Gerais and one of the 50 largest cities in Brazil.
Betim
is home to a Petrobras's
oil refineries, as well as Fiat's
largest factory, which opened in 1976.[2] The
city has an important role not only in the state's economy, but in
the whole country's as well.
Betim
is also internationally known for 'Salão do Encontro' and 'Missão
Ramacrisma', two entities recognized for their social work with
the poor communities and with special needs individuals.

prefeito eleito de Betim, Vittorio Medioli (PHS), tomou posse neste
domingo (1º), no Ginásio Poliesportivo Divino Braga. O
vice-prefeito, Dr. Vinicius (SD), e 23 vereadores eleitos para a
legislatura 2017-2020, também foram empossados.
Medioli
foi eleito por 61,64% dos votos, derrotando o candidato do PMDB,
Ivair Nogueira, que alcançou 15,44%.
Vittorio
Medioli tem 65 anos é casado e tem duas filhas. Ele nasceu em Parma,
na Itália.
O
novo prefeito de Betim é empresário, fundador e presidente do Grupo
Sada. Com mais de 30 empresas, atua nos segmentos de transporte
rodoviário de cargas, logística, siderurgia, fabricação de
autopeças, comercialização de veículos, imobiliário, agrícola
(silvicultura e reflorestamento) e produção de etanol e açúcar.
Medioli também é dono da Sempre Editora, que produz os jornais O
Tempo, Super e Pampulha.
Conforme

Medioli é o prefeito eleito mais rico do Brasil, entre as cidades
com mais de 200 mil eleitores.
A

Roberto da Quadra (PHS), segundo secretário.
